Can I Really Take Photos Like a Pro?
In a word, 'yes'. Digital photography is a skill, and skills improve once you know the technique and practice it; in fact, it's even easier nowadays than it was when I first learned film photography. Much cheaper too I might add!
Do you really think you can't take good pictures? Ever had the feeling most of your pictures were bad?...
...Well, let me let you into a little secret my old photography teacher told me when I was complaining that all except one of my pictures sucked (he was a real task-master, perfectionist type.)
And I'll never forget this...
I had taken thirty six exposures at the time, and as I laid my contact sheet (a sheet with small versions of all the pictures used in film photography) out, my teacher proceeded to tell me why each one was a technically flawed picture, in one way or another.
It was hard to listen to, and by the end I was dejected. I had one picture he said was a good picture, only one, thirty six shots and just one decent picture! So I started complaining!
Frustrating Photography Tutorial
It was then he said something I'll never forget, he raised his eyebrows at me and said "Any professional photographer that gets one shot out of thirty six is happy. That's a good result!"
It was really an eye-opener, and since that time I have learned and used more and more digital photography tips in my digital photography.
You will find them here, added regularly. Some digital photography tips are more complex than others, so take your time; don't worry, I'm not going anywhere.
